Here’s a video of using my reconstruction of the Dominy’s wheel cutting engine.

Each cut takes about 15-25 seconds, depending on how aggressively I feed the cutter into the wheel. In the video, I was cutting a 96 toothed wheel, replicating the great wheel on Dominy clocks.

In the next post I will show the whole process of making a wheel, including rounding up the teeth after cutting.
