Blacksmithing is such a fascinating practice: much more social than I expected, and I learned many intricacies of how forge size, temperature control, order of operations, etc. influence the act and final product. Stay tuned for a more in-depth post on the process and what we learned!

(In the beginning shot, we used a hydraulic press instead of tiresome sledge hammer blows.)
