I made this toolbox in the summer of 2019 when I was working a lot on the wiring of my automaton. All these tools belong together and needed a neat little home!

The main factor in design was how to accommodate the soldering iron/station. I landed on a central cavity with a recess below that holds the plug. The two drawers hold the various electrical components (namely, diodes, resistors, and transistors) and small breadboards, wire connectors, and electrical tape.

Then the top shelf holds the wire and pliers. Beneath that shelf I made a special pocket for the multimeter and its unruly probes.

As an after-thought, I added this cloth covering which I rarely use. (Though perhaps it adds aura points?)

Again, I made the box taller instead of wider because horizontal workspace is more competitive than vertical, at least on the desks I frequent.
